Gentle Oral Surgery
Gentle tooth extractions.
When a tooth can’t be saved, we remove it as comfortably as possible and help you plan what comes next.
What to know
Comfortable from start to finish.
We always try to save a tooth first. When that isn’t possible, whether from severe decay or a fracture, we remove it gently in our office.
We’ll also talk through options like an implant to replace the tooth.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
How long is recovery?
Most people feel better within a few days. We’ll give you clear aftercare instructions.
Should I replace an extracted tooth?
Often, yes. Replacing it helps keep neighboring teeth from shifting. We’ll discuss implant and bridge options.
Does insurance cover extractions?
Most PPO plans cover a share of extractions. We’ll check your benefits and give you an estimate before your visit.
Can I be sedated for an extraction?
Ask us. We offer sedation options for patients who feel anxious, and your dentist will recommend what’s right for you. Learn more on our sedation page.
I have a painful tooth right now. Can you see me today?
We set aside time for urgent visits. Call (503) 433-2414 or visit our emergency dentist page.
Cost & insurance
Insurance, cost and payment options
Most PPO plans cover part of the cost of an extraction. If you’d like to replace the tooth afterward, we’ll go over your options and costs up front so you can plan ahead.
We’re in network with most PPO dental plans, including Delta Dental, MetLife, Guardian, Regence, Cigna, Aetna and United Concordia. We check your benefits before treatment and give you a clear estimate of your share, so there are no surprises. We do not accept OHP (Medicaid).
Prefer to spread out the cost? We offer monthly payments through Klarna. Ask our front desk for details. See insurance & financing.
